Our new season at RFT offers the best selection of great films. Opening the season on Tuesday 7 April we will be showing Peter Strickland's new film, The Duke of Burgundy. Peter, patron of RFT and a former University of Reading student, will be providing a Q & A session after the film.

As usual our programme includes some of this year's Oscar winners: Selma (Best Original Song) showing on Tuesday 28 April, Theory of Everything (Best Actor) on Thursday 7 May, Whiplash (Best Supporting Actor, Best Sound Mixing) on Tuesday 12 May and Still Alice (Best Actress) on Thursday 21 May.

Other highlights of the season include the return of the classic Marx Brothers's film, Duck Soup, on Tuesday 3 May and the new version of Thomas Hardy's Far From the Madding Crowd on Thursday 18 June.

In conjunction with the University of Reading's Modern Languages Department, we will holding a special season called War Child

Those who joined us for the live streaming events last year will be delighted to know that on Tuesday 19 May we will be screening Mike Leigh's adaptation of The Pirates of Penzance direct from the English National Opera. This event is likely to be popular and early booking for is advised.
