In this partly autobiographical and moving comedy drama, Billi’s Chinese family discovers that their grandmother has only a short time left to live. They decide to keep her in the dark and organise a wedding in order to spend time with her. By returning to China under the guise of the fake wedding they stealthily say goodbye to their beloved matriarch and challenge our perceptions about death.
