As a belated celebration of 50 years of films at RFT, we continue to show some of the films our members voted as their favourite films from each decade of RFT. This classic Italian film from 1948 was given an honorary Oscar in 1949. It is routinely voted one of the greatest films of all time and is recognised as one of the early example of Italian neo-realism.
