Reading Film Theatre was established over 40 years ago as an independent cinema with a policy to show the best films from around the world. RFT receives no grants and hires the largest auditorium from the University on a regular basis, using its own equipment and employing RFT staff, most of whom are volunteers.
We were delighted to receive the following video introduction to his latest film - Murder on the Orient Express - from our Honorary President and local Reading boy, Kenneth Branagh. He recorded the clip while working in Tokyo and we are most grateful to him for taking the time out of his busy schedule to reminisce his early teenage visits to RFT and make some interesting comparisons with his film to the earlier 1974 version from one of his early film heroes Sydney Lumet.
We have now reduced our membership for the rest of the year: £20 for members and £10 for students. New members will be able to benefit from our popular loyalty card scheme. Last term 42% of our members gained a free film entry after seeing four films during the term. Don't miss out, join today!
