Renowned novelist Joe Castleman is travelling to Stockholm with his wife Joan (Glenn Close) to receive the Nobel Prize for Literature. Joan is the loyal and supportive wife who has sacrificed her own literary ambitions while her husband basks in the praise lavished on him by an adoring literary world.
