Tony (Broadbent), a divorced retired man has his reclusive quiet life irretrievably altered after receiving a letter in which his is bequeathed the diary of an estranged university friend, Adrian. Tony’s quest to recover the diary, being withheld by Veronica (Rampling), Adrian’s wife and Tony’s first romance, forces him to revisit his flawed memories of his friends and of his younger self. As he delves deeper into his past, he come closer to a long-awaited reckoning. Excellent cast and seductive score.
