Swedish writer and director Tarik Saleh dives in deep with neo-noir film The Nile Hilton Incident. Beautifully shot, the movie takes place on the streets of Cairo days before the 2011 Egyptian Revolution and the ousting of President Hosni Mubarak; the film juggles politics and police procedurals during the investigation of a murdered Egyptian singer. The result is a fascinating story that develops amidst a city on the verge of chaos.
