A wistful and touching drama set in Northern Nepal during a 2001 temporary ceasefire in the bloody Civil War between insurgent Maoists and the government. The village chief’s grandson and his inseparable best friend, from a totally different caste and social creed, single-mindedly focus on retrieving their precious hen raised to give them an income from modest egg sales. During the search, they soon become aware of the fragility of their situation as they are caught between rival forces.
