Happy New Year from Reading Film Theatre!

Happy New Year from Reading Film Theatre and Welcome to a New Season of Exciting Films! Work on our Digital Projection Appeal Fund, “Keep Our Image Moving”, continues. To date applications have been made to a number of national and local charities and we are awaiting the outcome of these. Sir Kenneth Branagh, our president, is writing to local businesses on our behalf in the hope that they will offer us assistance with our appeal. We are especially grateful to all of you who have made donations so far, many in response to our request on the membership application form. For anyone still planning to contribute to our fund please remember to sign the Gift Aid declaration so that we can claim the tax back on your donation. Reading Film Theatre relies almost entirely on a small but committed group of volunteers and we are always pleased to recruit new volunteers, especially as some of our volunteers move on to start a new life elsewhere. If you would be interested in helping with fundraising, publicity or as a cashier and attendant please contact me via the RFT website. I look forward to seeing you at some of this term’s films. Highlights of the season include Berberian Sound Studio (Tuesday January 15th) with a visit from local director, Peter Strickland, who will take questions on his new film.
